Our Story
It Started in Chihuahua
Raw Earth Crystals wasn't built from a catalog. It was built from relationships — six of them, to be exact, with mine operators across three Mexican states who had been selling to middlemen for decades and were ready to try something different.
Ezy Joe started sourcing minerals directly from Mexican mines before it was a pitch line. Living and working in Mexico gave him access that most U.S. dealers never get — not just to the material, but to the people behind it. Miners who know their deposits intimately. Families who have worked the same veins for generations.
That access is the foundation of everything Raw Earth does.
The Mine-Direct Model
Most minerals travel a long road before they reach a collector. Mine to regional aggregator. Aggregator to export broker. Broker to cross the border, shipping to the dealer. Dealer to you. Each step adds margin, removes documentation, and dilutes what anyone actually knows about where a piece originated.
Raw Earth cuts that chain down to two steps: mine to warehouse, warehouse to you.
Six Mines. Three States. One Supplier.
Our sourcing network covers the three major mineral-producing regions of Mexico:
- Chihuahua — home to some of the world's most recognizable fluorite and calcite deposits, including material from the Naica region
- Durango — including the Ojuela mine at Mapimi, one of the most storied mineral localities on the planet, known for adamite, hemimorphite, and legrandite
- Guerrero — producing distinctive pyrite, amethyst, and a range of rough material that rarely makes it to U.S. markets outside of direct relationships
Every Piece Has a Passport
When you buy a specimen from us, you're not buying a mineral from "Mexico, origin unknown." You're buying from a documented source — mine name, region, mineral composition. Provenance matters in this industry more than most people realize.
Miami: Where It All Comes Together
Our warehouse is a 2,000 square foot operation in Miami, Florida — one of the best logistics positions in the country for Latin American imports. Orders placed before 3 PM ET ship same-day. We carry 23 specimen types and 12 rough material categories year-round.

Why Raw Earth
You can buy from a big marketplace aggregator where origin is approximate. Or you can buy from someone who can tell you the mine name, the region, the mineral composition, and why it left Mexico at 0% tariff while similar material from China costs everyone more. We think the second option is better. So does our 4.8-star rating.
